I dunno...
the vette is cool and all, but people don't pay attention to vette's
because they are a dime a dozen. You roll up in a Viper, you turn heads.
It's an exclusivity thing. The Viper is faster than a $120k Porsche 911
Turbo, but the exclusivity of the Porsche makes it worth the extra $$
IMHO.
Another point, I remember the first Hennesey Viper that Motor Trend
tested. They said it was fast, but street tires couldn't hang. Needed
full on race tires to witness it's full potential. And they also said "Do
NOT drive this car in the rain!" What I'm sayin' is, how safe would this
car be if it came from mopar with 500 hp? How many people would wrap em'
around trees? I think it's the "sue McDonalds for my mistakes" Syndrome
that keeps these automakers from putting super sportscars on the road. It
only takes one idiot to screw things up for everybody....
