If you're going to keep the truck for a long time, and you never haul heavy
loads or tow heavy trailers, you might consider going to lower-rate leaf
springs in the rear. They will greatly improve your ride and handling over
rough roads (at the expense of hauling/towing ability). You'd basically be
putting a car suspension on your truck. Although high-rate springs have the
handling advantage on a smooth racetrack, lower-rate (softer) springs have a
BIG advantage on rough (street) roads.
