Hypertech PTM/MP computer

Hey everyone,

I've pretty much gotten sick of my "check engine" light being on, so I
unplugged the Hypertech today and I'm back to stock tuning. I can honestly
say that the PTM made a huge difference in not only throttle response, but
overall torque and power, too. Has anyone talked to Hypertech? They actually
responded to an email I sent them and they told me that they are "close" to
a fix and expect it to be shipping in a month or so. They also told me not
to worry about the check engine light as its a "false code". Sorry, I just
can't do that. It also worries me that they'd continue to ship a product
with a known problem (I just ordered it dec 26th).

Now I'm looking into alternatives. Is there any hope of an MP computer
in this lifetime? I've seen some R/T part numbers floating around on the
list, but I've got a '99 5.2L/5-speed. Please tell me that there is hope
:-)... I'd much rather have an MP unit.

I thought about the JET, but the general consensus on the list seems to
be that they suck. Any word on Hypertech putting out their PP3?
