Well, the list is mainly pointing to the 5.2L Automatics so far (12 people
at this time) and the builds are '99 primarily with a few '98's (one '97).
Gut Feeling tells me that something with the computer program (and/or
sensors) changed in '98. I still need a lot more people to get some more
accurate results. (The 4x4 vs. 4x2 is is at 50/50...doesn't seem to
matter.)

I'm not saying that it HAS to be done, but just compiling a list of what
DOES ping is only half the battle. If we can see what does ping and
what doesn't ping, it may provide clues to a cure. On the other hand,
if 10 318 '99 CC auto 4x4's come up pinging, and 10 318 '99 CC auto
4x4's come up not pinging, what to do? Then it starts looking like a
bad batch or parts somewhere, so we have to start looking at, what,
sequence number? What day each truck was made?
