This is very typical of any Asian product; especially Hondas. I seen write
ups saying, "OOH, LOOK HOW FAST IT GOES." Then reading the specifications
the (example) Civic Vtec has a 4:40 rear, while the other manufactures have
average 3:30 rear end. Let me put on a set of 4:10 and I will say, " See
the flash go! Flash is gone and Honda is still at the light." <CHUCKLE>
Since engineering in HP is not what Asian products is cut out to be, but
wait until you see the first Honda wanna-be truck. Another bites the dust
with Dodge for killing performance. Hey! Maybe the will put those 5:10
gears on the Truck and claimed the record of 0-60 in 6.0 seconds, like the
old pre 98 Geo Tracker current has.

Thats the only reason they are a little faster. I raced one guy with a new
tundra. i kept up just fine. we were side by side all the way. they arent
that fast. the way everyone made them out to be porsche killers. no matter
what its still a truck and when you have a big ass 4x4 you arent gonna get
them going too fast. the fastest 4x4 ( not all wheel drive) ive ever seen
was
a chevy S 10 with a 454 and a blower. and even he had driveline problems.
i
think the best he had was a 12 90 or 13.20 at 118 or something around there.
he just couldnt hook up for nothing. as for the stock tundras they arent
all
that they made them out to be. even with the DOHC motors they arent that
great. i drove one and that thing felt less powerful than my dakota and im
not saying that because it was my dakjota. it just felt weaker
