They've tried to fix it. They released the computer flash, which was
supposed to fix it, but didn't work on all trucks. DC is not the
only manufacturer having this problem either. In the long run, I
think, the fix is going to be the new engines. It's all academic to
me, my 6er doesn't ping. Perhaps what they need to do is take down
some engines and find what's different in the pingers from the non-
pingers.

        Isnt this illegal? If a car is defective, which the pinging
shows,
they must by law fix it. The dealer tried to tell me that consistent
pinging does not cause any harm to an engine. What can we do t get DC
to
listen? Do we need to file a class action law suit, or what???
