I thought the current R/T goes for 25K (at Jack Powell, San Diego area)?
You have to take a ride it for the experience sake and see the difference.
But you are correct on the adding the SC and new suspension. But far as the
suspension, I would find someone who knows about them to get the correct
angles, spring rates, leaf springs, sway bars.

I tell you I'm not impressed with the Lightning. The main reason is the
price. At 31,000+ we could take any R/T, put on a supercharger, Hotchkiss
suspension , still have money left over, and walk all over anything that
moved!

Geez, I only paid $16,000 for my 96 V8 Sport. Guess what an extra 15 grand
could do for performance on it! Nothing would come close!

If Ford wants to impress me with the Lightning, sell it for $21,000 like the
R/T. That would change my tune!

In '93 Lightnings, they used a 351 Windsor with GT40 intake/heads that
produced 240 HP. The new '99 model is a supercharged and intercooled
5.4-liter Triton V-8. that puts out 360 horsepower. More info can be found
