Well, Im definatley not on the inside of law enforcement, but I do know
some stuff. It is not totally illegal to alter the tail lights. Look at
the new style clear lenses that are comming out. They have a small section
of red on them and the majority of the lens is clear. These are DOT
approved lights, there for legal.
Also, I have contacted state and local law enforcement in Indiana and both
have told me as long as they produce a RED light then there should be no
problem, and this has been repeated numerous times. Ive had my clear rear
lights and clear marker lights on for a year now with still NO problems,
no tickets, nada......
