Are you running a wet or a dry system? Personally, I wouldn't
consider using a wet system with the stock manifold; there are
just too many twists and turns, and I wouldn't be surprised if you've
got fuel puddling in there. You may want to consider swapping in an
MPI manifold, which has been designed to flow both air and fuel.
