The key word being "Carbs." They have fuel bowls filled with liquid fuel
waiting to be burned. The benefits from a phenolic resin spacer is derived
from keeping the fuel in the bowls cool. The TB system used on Dakota's carry
no fuel, and the air that passes through them is only there for an instant. I
don't see how any kind of insulating or cooling between the TB and manifold
would make any measurable difference at all. At least that's how it would
seem to me, any comments?
