I got mine at a local speed shop. It is from K&N and is basically a 5/8"
nut that I paid $6 each for. I believe Summit and Jegs have the Painless
wiring piece for a similar price.
The y-pipe helped alot all the way around and I trully reccomend the
Flowmaster peice as opposed to a "homemade" or generic y. I had the Hooker
y that was supplied with my headers BUT it really seemed to choke my
exhaust, as did the "bottle neck" that WAS my 2.5" stock cat. Although
its(the cat) area and design was pretty simialr to the dynomax, the 3" inet
and outlet really makes the difference. Make sure you use quality mandrel
bends. I used 1 hooker U-bend for the whole job. I'd avoid the exhaust shop
bends at all costs. Using prebent pipe is a b$tch but totally worth it.
By the way, did you ever make the bracket that relocated the AC compressor
w/out having to cut anything?
If you have I was wondering if I could get a template from you. If you want
I will cut an extra bracket for you. I think the M1 intake is going to be
my next mod, but ONLY after I make a bracket. I'm just not real turned on
by having to slice into my compressor. If you already have it done it would
defenitely save me alot of trial and error.
