Backyard mechanic style is to dissolve the adhesive with naptha (lighter
fluid) and voila, there are some more expensive commercial alternatives,
your dodge dealership has some really powerful 3m adhesive remover, but the
main ingredient to my knowlege is, you guessed it, naptha.

I have used this successfully on a variety of paitn finishes, but be
reminded, that it removes all the protection you have been carefully been
putting on the paint in the form or waxes and polishes.

Subject: DML: Removing Auto Ventvisors

I busted the passenger side ventvisor last hunting season and I gotta
replace
it... My question is, how do I remove it without ripping the paint off? As
I
recall, that adhesive tape was pretty damn strong and I know it's not gonna
come
off without a fight!
TIA
Tom
