Get yourself some chalk or a wax/grease pencil. Jack up one rear tire so
only one tire can spin. Mark a line on the tire. Put the transmission in
neutral (both standard and automatic). Now spin the tire while counting
the number of turns the tire takes to make one complete revolution of the
driveshaft. The number of tire revolutions it takes to make one complete
revolution of the driveshaft is your rear end gear ratio. If you have a
locker or LSD, get both rear tires off the ground.
