we do have a crank position sensor. You can spin the cap till your blue in
the face, the computer won't fire till the position sensor tells it to. The
only way to adjust the timing mechanically is to pull the distributor out
and shift it's tooth position on the camshaft gear, NOT RECOMMENDED!
