Unless I spelled it incorrectly...It's basically deburring the block which
helps relieve the possibility of stress cracks (also done on automatic
transmissions). On the steel crank, I was referring to a "High Quality"
(definitely not cast) crank.

   Thanks, Bernd! I know what all that stuff is except for the
dechamfered block. What's dechamfering? :-)

   Also, you mentioned a steel crank. Does the casting or forging
method have any bearing on strength, or would any steel crank do?
