I totally agree that any syn. oil is many times better than the dino stuff.
The place that i get a really cheap oil change (Costco) they use the Syntec
as their house synthetic oil, so it works out for me just fine. I know the
guys that work in the shop and have confidence in their abilities so i'm
pretty set.
I'd like them to use a better filter (just have crappy frams) so i thought
about goin to get a good filter and then just have them use it, but they
won't take off the price of the fram, so o well.
I thoroughly believe you can stretch the time/mileage between oil changes if
you use good syn. oil and a good filter. And the fewer oil changes offset
the cost of the more expensive products, and you're still treating your
engine really well.
