I wish people would stop bashing the 4.7 engine. It is in a Dakota guys!!
I for one have had three Dakotas: 94 5.2 with major engine , 98 RT 5.9 with
many of the same mods, and now a 00 4.7 5 speed. So I am speaking from
experience. The 4.7 liter engine is a very nice smooth powerful engine.
Mated with the 5 speed it is very fun to drive. It is every bit as quick as
(if not quicker than) the 5.2 and the 5.9 were stock. The only draw back on
the 4.7 is that there are not the performance parts for it yet. But to
describe it as Over Hyped Crap is not only not true but it is ignorant.
Just remember that a Dakota is a Dakota whether it has a 4 banger under the
hood or a 4.7. We are all in this together fellas so why dont you stop
acting like little kids arguing who rides shotgun and act like adults.
