2 things:
1) Is it a 4 cyl, 6 cyl, 8 cyl...
2) What size gas tank does it have??? If the tank is
about 1.5-2' long, you have the 15 gallon tank
(standard on 4 cyl, 6 cyl, and sometimes the 8
cyl--but never seen an 8 with one, though they exist)
if the tank is 3-3.5' long you have the 22 gallon
tank.
FYI-- Either way, when the fuel light comes on, on ALL
Dakotas... you have at least 4 gallons left in the
tank.
Other than that, I can't tell you on the starting
issue.
