Thats because alot of the Chevys are set up with converters on the Y-pipe.
Technically, the law states that you can not modify exhaust systems from the
converter to the engine....unless CARB or EPA approved, or it was an option
from the factory.

My bro's 96 Z71 has two converters like this, he is now running true duals
with flowmasters. Sounds great too.

I thought the 4.7 only had two converters (two cats on the downpipe), but it
actually has three! One after the downpipe. I want to cut that one out sooo
bad!
