Couple years back I was running the quarter in my friend's mustang (460,
dual Holley double pumpers, Lozano Bros. ported intake/heads, a very large
cam, full race prep on the heads, headers, duals, prepped C6, too name a
few mods). I was parked next to a competition drag racer, with a very
serious car. I lost, but I at least crossed the finish line without
missing any engine parts. I was a little shy of halfway down the track
when the guy blew the motor. Made a big mess, and a cool fire ball. Guy
was ok, but not too happy.
