I agree! The dang rain makes it hard to drive the Dakota, especially the
Goodyears. SPIN & SPIN & SPIN-SLIP SIDEWAYS AND BACK. Ok! Turn off the
sprinklers Sam.

Hey, I waxed a '96 something SLT Dakota the other day in my wife's 4x4.
I approached the light, the guy had all kinds of Perf. stickers on the
the rear window and I thought "Cool another hi-po Dakota owner". He heard
my wife's trucks exhaust, and looked over at me.. Grinned, and nailed it
on the green. I merely rolled on the gas until full throttle, and walked
right past him.
See, when it's been raining here in San Diego (2" worth for us), the roads
are like driving on grease/ice. He spun wildy through the intersection,
while my wife's NP242 equipt 4x4 didn't miss a beat, and I past him and
took it up to about 45 mph and held until he finally caught up and past me.
At the next light, he nodded, and turned right.
Her truck takes a bit to get going because of the 3.55 gears and 4x4 gerth.
It looks like Mopar Headers are next on the list to go along with the QuickD
intake, F&B Stage I, and RT exhaust setup. Maybe then, it will have enough
poop to make my wife happy (she had the RT, and still shuns this truck).
Though, in the rain the last few days, I've NEVER felt safer driving it.
My RT on the other hand, requires 110% effort in the rain to not swap ends.
Something about 280 or so hp with a standard cab and big tires.
