Got truck back, started out like they actually fixed it but the more I drove
it and it warmed up it turned opposite. Still the same, once warmed up,
going upgrade I still hear it pinging. I am about at the end of my rope
with the incompetence of DC. Can they not fix anything? At this point even
I think I could do their job. My only chance now is if this new flash ever
comes out. I have no problems with my truck other than this one thing, but
it ruins it all. Have money in the bank to put rhino liner in my truck but
have held off and even cancelled previous appointments as I just don't know
if I want top put over $400 in something I don't even half way care about
anymore. At this point I want to find the guy who came up with the Magnum
engine and run him down with the piece of sh#$ he designed.

BTW below is what they wasted their time doing today
TSB 09-06-99 69WDG40
Parts: Gasket, sealer, screw, throttle body cleaner, coolant

Dropped 99 2WD V6 auto Dakota Sport off at dealer this AM. They are
supposed to inspect and may replace the intake manifold. The service
manager stated that this should reduce spark knock by 75%. Also stated DC
currently has a new flash designed that changes the curve but tied up with
trying to get government approval for emissions. Did not have an ETA.
Beside the intake manifold work and the flash when it comes out he feels it
will go away completely. At this point I am just hoping for positive
results. Will let you know how things go.
