I'd love to see a diesel in a Dak. Detroit Diesel makes one that
would be just right
http://www.detroitdiesel.com/corp/011100delta.htm
I am told that that article is incorrect- it really has 235+ hp. It
has been installed in a Durango, so we know it would work in a Dak.

My friend gets Trailer Life and a couple of mags dedicated to diesel
trucks
(not my thing) and there was an article a couple of months ago about
their 50
some percent ownership, or as they call it "involvement", of cummins.
His
diesel trucks mags are where they were talking about the changes in
the market
how everyone is looking into new engines etc. I wish they would make
a smaller
diesel for a dak so I could buy it and use it to tow a camping trailer
around.....and my truck!!!
