I agree with Bernd. Check out the laws in Italy for children at the age of
8 being tried as adults for murder.

YES!!

If you do an adult crime, you should do the adult time. There should be
limits to the starting age, but if the court system recognizes a 12 year old
as having the ability to decide which parent they would like to live with,
then that should be the age to prosecute minors as adults.
