Ya know what? After being executed, it's kinda hard to say, oops, sorry, we
did a little checking, and it turns out he wasn't the killer after all. My
bad....
I agree that certain people on this planet should no longer be allowed to
waste good oxygen, for example, good 'ole Charles Manson. A guy like that
will never be reformed or contribute anything decent or productive to our
society. But he's an extreme case. And there are others like him, but
there are also many that can be reformed, or were wrongly convicted.
So a blanket statement like "blood must be answered with blood" is not going
to help make our society any better.
