Ive seen one, almost bought it. It had a 360 crate motor in it and it was a
88 4 X 4. The guy did a real nice job for shurrr, you wouldn't have know it
wasn't factory if ya didn't know what to look for. The problem was that they
got stricter with the Inspections up here in NY state and the 88 didn't come
with a 360. The new rules state that the vehicle must have the emmission
equipment on it that came on it from the factory. Being no 360 there was no
legal way to make it pass and no one wanted to take the chance of losing
their license by inspecting it and getting caught, also 10,000 fine I think.
The motor onle had a few hundred miles on it when they tried to sell it and I
heard they dropped the price to 2500 atr one time. Don't know if they ever
sold it .
