Hey all,
I just got an e-mail from Henry on the DiRT list. He said that the crack
that I had (between the valve seats on the #7 or #8 cylinder) is VERY
common!! AAGH!!
So, anyone who has pulled their heads... did you see a crack? This motor
is at 70k, and god only knows how long the crack has been there.
Henry and I think that there may be a connection between that cracked
head, some flash on the water hole closest to that cylinder, and
pinging...
I plan to e-mail Hughes and Kammer about this too...
