Finally had a chance to take the new truck back to the dealer to check out
the grinding noise. Dropped it off Thursday afternoon. They called this
morning. Somehow the backing plate was defective and destroyed the drum
(they said rotor, but isn't it a rear drum?). They have to replace the
whole assembly as it got pretty toasted in just a couple hundred miles.
They don't have the plate in stock so it will be Monday afternoon til I get
her back...
