Yep, the Jeep filter will work, thats what I use, Mobil 1 has the filter
listed for the Jeep GC, I can't remember the filter number right off hand.

It's the same engine, so the filter will definetly thread on. Clearance???
Not sure about this one, but initial thought is you should be ok. Swing
into a Jeep dealer on your way home, pop a hood and check to be certain.

Anyone done their own oil change yet on the 4.7
engine?
Getting ready to go synthetic and my local parts store
doesn't have a listing yet for the 4.7 in the 2000
Dakota...he gave me a filter for the 00 Grand
Cherokee...does anyone know the correct part number
for any of the major brands? Is the GC and Dak
filters the same?
