Good point on the synthetics removing deposits, Jon. That makes the most
sense.

There's a lot of myths floating around out there about how synthetic oil
seeps through hairline cracks that regular oil is too thick to flow through.
At engine operating temperature, the viscosity of synthetic oil is the same
as the viscosity of dino oil. Synth is only 'runnier' when cold (of course,
it's possible that the seals have contracted in a cold engine). If your
engine is leaking oil, don't blame it on synth, blame it on poor seals,
i.e. - fix the problem instead of looking for a band-aid.....
