Guys,
The 340 crank would do NOTHING for your 318s. The stroke is exactly the
same between the two(3.31"). The only advantage I can see is that an early
340 crank would be forged and would be stronger. A 360 crank (3.58") would
make a difference, but the small bore of the 318 (3.91") would probably
hinder upper rpm flow, and limit you on valve size.
