I'll soon be stuffing a locker in mine but it's an open diff. at the moment
so I can't comment on what's normal for noise with a lsd... I need to
pickup some RTV gasket maker myself. I'll probably just get whatever is
hyped to be oil/grease resistant. I imagine just about any will do as
temperature is not an issue nor are there any sensors to worry about. I
think permatex RTV Black is what a lot of folks use but I'm not positive.
