It's not intended to pull air in for any purpose, it does it because it's a
viscous fan and it takes time for the fluid in the fan mechanism to warm up
a bit and flow properly.

Am I the only one that finds this strange? Or am I just displaying my Polish
lineage?? I mean, the only time that clutch fan goes like that is when I'm
starting off in the morning. The damn engine is COLD!! Why the heck doesn't
it do it when the engine is hot?? Thats when it would seemingly need to pull
a
larger volume of air through the radiator. I mean hell, the thermostat is
still closed and there's no coolant 'flow' through the radiator when the
thing is crankin away. Maybe it's just me....
