Chances are if you can see something wrong with the differential your gonna
have bigger problems.
What do you mean "see if everything is ok in there" Like a broken ring
gear?? or Pinion, by that time you're already broke!! hee hee, As long as
its working, its OK, If it ain't working, then thats when I start pulling
the rear cover off!!
I pulled exactly 2.5 quarts of gear lube of the rear with the pump, and the
specifications called for 2.9 quarts so there was 12 oz. left in there
theoretically?! I guess the pump won't suck up those broken ring gear
teeth!!??
Oh, BTW this ain't Jiffy Lube!

That's a cool idea...but "Jiffy Lube" does the same thing and that process
leaves "gunk" and other small particles (if they're in there) out of reach
from the pickup tube. It's safer to change the pumpkin gasket and actually
see if everything is ok in there.
