And here I thought one of the "advantages" of the 4.7 over the 5.2 it
replaced was gas mileage. Only time I dropped below 13 on 5.2 was in
the dead of winter, when I spent a lot of time idle, letting it warm
up. I'm averaging about 14.5 MPG since June (QuickD intake I installed
a month ago was a big help, BTW). And I've got a 4wd with the tire &
handling package. My daily commute is 13 miles each way, a mix of
clogged (but moving at a good clip) highways, a death-slow trek to the
highway (one lane each way, hilly, TONS of traffic), and a couple miles
in the city.
Something definitely seems wrong with your truck. No way should you be
getting that kind of mileage.
