It is the kickdown cable which is connected to the rear passenger side of the
throttle body. This will change the shift points to some extent.

Most make a small adjustment towards the firewall to firm up the shift
and move the shift rpm up a little. In your case, moving it one notch
towards the rad will move the shift point down a bit and 'may' eliminate
the sticking in a gear problem that your experiencing. Just make sure
that you know (either by marking in cable or remembering the no. of
notches and in which direction that you gone) where the original
postion was ... can then reverse your testing.

My problem is with sticking in gear at WOT at the track when I manually
do a shift ... so far, moving the cable towards the rad has rad has
lessen the problem but not eliminated it.
