Justin,
You won't see any hp gain from a high-output alternator. This is for
charging the battery in reference to a higher than normal electrical load.
As far as the A/C goes, you wouldn't see any noticable gain from running a
shorter belt. When not engaged, the pulley on the compressor free-wheels,
and imposes no real load on the engine. Not running you A/C more or less
equates to bypassing it with a shorter belt.
