I got you BOTH beat. I didn't have to put any alum foil around anything.
With my "chevy" 1.6 3/8 stud rollers, the oil just circulated around the
locking allen nut area and dripped right down into the heads. no oil spills
for me either. WITHOUT the alum. hehe

<< I wouldn't laugh, this is a perfectly acceptable way to adjust hydraulic
lifters.
A tip:
If you have a old stamped valve cover lying around, you can cut a long
slot in the top so you can get your socket in there and do the
adjustment without spalshing oil all over.
