Actually, that's not a good idea.

In this day in age, it is better to turn on a light and place both hands on
the steering wheel in plain sight. Do NOT go rummaging around in your
glovebox, your console etc. Don't give the officer any reason to be
uncomfortable. A scared cop will slam you faster and harder than a mad cop
will. And if you scare him, or make him uncomfortable, it will make him mad
too! LOL
Also, Ladies don't lower your window more than it takes to be able to hear
what the officer has to say unless you are absolutely sure that the cop is
REAL. Too many instances of fake cops around these days.

And people woner why I am always armed...sheesh.
