I dunno about Ohio, but in NJ, emmissions requirements are based on the year
of the car. Obviosly a 50s vette has no cat. I remember when I had my
trusty 66 Beetle inspected, the guy looked at some chart and told me it
passed well enough to be a 72 model (whatever that means). 73 is the
roadblock.... smog pumps and air pumps and cats and other yuckies.
