Someone must have screwed my registration up then. My NY registration
says 5600 lbs. Unless that's the GVWR (which WOULD make sense). Can
someone else from NY check their registration and tell me what they have
in the spot to the left of the fuel/cylinder info? My brother's telling
me on ICQ right now that that number is what he uses for the weight, and
on his '94 Jimmy, he's got 3911 listed, which does make sense. But
that's registered as a passenger car or Suburban (incidentally, my
father's old full-sie Chevy van was registered as a Suburban, which gets
the same tags/reg. info as a passenger car!), not a commercial vehicle,
so the rules might be different.
