Someone on the rec.motorcycles newsgroup claimed to have attached a
leafblower to a motorcycle engine and got some decent performance out of it.
I think you need to look at CFM flow of the leafblower, and match it to the
CFM intake of your vehicle at X rpm. I would guess that the 5.9L would flow
around the neighborhood of 600 - 700 CFM near factory redline???? If you
can figure out what pulley ratio you need, you could graft it onto the
engine somewhere and run it off the serpentine belt and you're in business
(as long as your injectors can flow enough fuel to keep up with the
increased airflow)....
