Crazy idea here...but why not install a Richmond Gear 6-Speed instead and
have them custom build the 6th gear as a 1:1 (instead of .7x:1) and set your
differential gears to something around 3.08:1. You'll get REALLY quick
launches and the final drive will still be good on gas mileage on the
highway.

you know something? i've been passing this up and haven't read it at all so
i don't know if this has been said or if you have some other plan... but for
those of you who don't know the viper reaches its max speed in 5th, not 6th
gear, So not even it's engine has enough ponies to push it in 6th. the
only time i could think that you might want a 6 spd is if you went real low
in the rear for fast launches but wanted 6 for the interstate. To me this
sounds like a waste of money! but do what you will and good luck
