Let's not forget one other item here. Too much sulphur in your fuel will
also cause the cat to clog, overheat and meltdown. The problem that caused
the meltdown MAY not be your fault.

With 16K on my second cat, I expect to see it fall apart in the next couple
of months if there is something wrong with my truck.

Don't forget something else too, DC is known for having junk cats. Both this
list and the Ram list have constant dialogs about cats melting down very
early in life.

Unless physically damaged from an accident or something. Catalytic
converters gone bad always indicate a problem elsewhere which if not
fixed will toast as many as you can buy and install.
Have your system checked ASAP or the new one will overheat and meltdown
also.
