Coming from the old school of "Pinging" (knocking, detonation)...a trained
ear will be able to tell when the engine isn't running right. I know you
can have knock and not hear it...but in some cases, you'll know if you pay
close attention to your vehicle. Sometimes you won't hear it or notice it
at all but at that point, it's nothing major to worry about.

If only people would read their plugs instead of just changing them, they
would know pretty much what goes on inside their engine.

Hi Bernd,
yeah, but the qeustion was; how he knew there was "no knock"
without a knock sensor and a scan tool type device.
You can have knock & not hear it..
