Shouldn't be a problem for you...and the "too much airflow" won't happen
with just a simple air filter modification.

Subject: DML: 96 Dakota V8 K&N air filter

Are there any problems installing a K&N air filter inverting the air cleaner
lid for more air flow. Will this give any gains over the stock set up of air
coming in from the grill. I've read of problems with the computer detecting
to much air flow. I'm looking for improve gas mileage and power from this
upgrade, anyone out there with a 96 Dakota V8 experimented with this. Please
send info my way...thanks....
