It is a soft cover. I don't see anything in the instructions that
specifically say I need to do any special stretching procedure; when I
installed it, I let it sit in the sun about 45 minutes before putting it
on, and everything snapped on smoothly. I think that particular snap
even clicked in that day. There isn't an excessive amount of "give" in
the cover, I don't think. If it were a stretching or alignment issue,
wouldn't more snaps be giving me trouble?
I will try to find someone to help me check the frame squareness, just
to be safe.
