You'll need either an LSD unit from a 95 or earlier (not sure on spline
count in '96) or get a set of axles from a 97 or later truck. gen II
trucks used 27 spline axles, genIII uses 29spline. the gears will (damn
well SHOULD) bolt right up to either LSD unit. so it's just a matter of
which route is cheaper (get new LSD unit, or new <29 spline> axles)
