Ok...one more time.

Take a Wine Cork and shave the tip to fit snuggly into the plug hole. Turn
the engine over (hand or remote starter) until the cork pops out. That's
TDC within a few degrees but is plenty to adjust rocker arms.

isn't there some kinda whistle thing that goes in the
spark plug hole that helps with finding TDC?

thought I saw something like this before.
