There should not be much difference between the 4:10's and the 3:92's on
teh hightway, maybe a couple hundred rpm... nothing.. I would go 4:10's and
if they are too low go with a slightly taller rear tire once these wear out
(wink, wink)... if the price is right on the 3.92's do it, with the 5-speed
you should have plenty of traction problems, umm i mean power... You got
the 6 right...? Hmm do what is in your heart man, or your wallet whichever
matters most. I have the 3.92's with the 5-sp and oon the highway i tach
around 3k rpm with how i drive, but the 4.7 just eats it up... your call
man but i say 4:10's I think if you got the 6... suregrip I assume?

<<<Hi All,
I know this has been discussed before, but ... I have the chance
to get some new 3.92 gears for my Dakota. I was wondering how much
of a butt-dyno difference there would be between the 3.92's and 4.10's.
I don't do that much highway driving so I'm not concerned with the
difference in highway rpm's. I'm just wondering if I should hold out
for 4.10's or if the 3.92's are adequate for my straight line needs. I have
3.55's now with a 5 speed. Thanks for any input.
